Elvis Protein Griddle
The sandwich that is said to have killed a King. Typically yielding somewhere between 750 and 950 calories, this recipe has all of the deliciousness of the typical Elvis Sandwich, for a fraction of the calories!
*Pancakes
1/2 Cup Liquid Eggs
1 TBSP Psyillium Husk
1/4 Cup Wheat Bran or 2 TBSP Coconut Flour (for a better consistency)
1 Cup Water
Filling
1 TBSP PB2
1/2 Scoop Vanilla Kaizen Protein
30 Grams Banana (about 1/4 of medium banana)
2 TBSP Liquid Eggs
A few drops of Maple Extract
2 Slices Applegate Farms Organic Turkey Bacon (I precook them in the oven)
Mix pancake ingredients and let sit overnight (or at least until liquid is absorbed)
Grease and heat a large frying pan
Split batter into two pancakes
Flip and cook until golden brown and firm
(warm-up bacon at this time as well)
In a small bowl, mash banana with protein and PB2
Add liquid egg and maple extract
Once pancakes are ready, make a "messy sandwich" with them the banana filling.
For best results, eat with a fork, knife and spoon :)
*The texture of the pancake might be weird for some, if so - just make an oats and eggs cake. This is also a good gluten-free option!
