Post-Workout Protein Rice Krispie Treat

Post-Workout Protein Rice Krispie Treat

While this recipe is low-carb for a Rice Krispe square, they're still fairly high in carbs and low in fiber - making them an excellent post-workout snack!

I was slightly disappointed by the texture of Walden Farm's Marshmallow Dip (it wasn't sticky or marshmallowy at all). Although this recipe isn't as sticky as a regular rice krispe treat, it delivers 30 grams of protein and is still a pretty 'clean' snack :)

1/2 TBSP Honey (a full TBSP for a stickier recipe) or any sticky syrup (brown rice syrup, date syrup, etc)
1 Scoop Vanilla Whey Protein
A few drops of Butter Extract
1 TBSP Walden Farms Marshmallow Dip
Rice Krispies (approximately 1/2 Cup, but can vary depending on the size of protein scoop used)

- In a small bowl, mix marshmallow dip and honey until smooth
- Add protein and butter extract
- Once protein is fully mixed, add rice krispes - you want enough so that it's fairly dry but ingredients still bind together. For me, this was approximately 1/2 cup. However, this can vary depending on the size of your protein scoop and desired consistency.
- Eat immediately (unless you're okay with soggy weird textures, it still tastes good! LOL)

Makes 1 Serving
